Your turn!

Ok, so I have had quite a few, shall we say, “interesting” episodes while commuting. I was just going to blog about another “interesting” episode when I thought I would step back this time and let other people have their say. So I ask you this simple question: “What “interesting” commute story do you have?”

I just might try to outdo whatever you post with one of my own stories. Let the games begin!

Driving to work one rainy day here in Orlando I witnessed 3 auto accidents. Here in Florida we have what we call black ice. When it rains the oil on the black top comes to the top and people spin out on it.

3 times in front of me this happened on an interstate! I got home and thought, wow, I am lucky they did not collect me in their poor driving. I watched the news that night and saw that not only did it happen 3 times that day, but happened nearly 10! I was just lucky enough to see 3 of them!

I bet there are loads of it.Some that happens in my country.Eating in the train, occupying more seats that they needed, blasting their screeching sound systems. All the unglamorous scenes that shouldn’t happen.

When I used to take the subway in Toronto, there was a guy famously names “Zanta” he would wear the Santa cap, no shirt and just do chin ups and pushups in the middle of the train. If the car was packed, newbie passengers would move to the side thinking he was some psycho…the “regulars” that took the train would not even notice after some time. I miss that guy..he really provided some great entertainment on the long rides.

There is actually a Wikipedia page about him now for others to read up on:

When I was a kid, I rode an MRT train for the first time in Manila. Obviously, I was completely oblivious to the whole rules and process. I had some spare coins so I bought a chocolate Popsicle- only to be confiscated by the guards since it’s not allowed! Talk about major oopsie moment! But hey, I have an excuse, I was a kid! There, haha.
