No School Day

If you’ve read my post Walk my way home, You will probably know by now that I had my own fair share of experience with storm and flood. My second commuter experience also concerns flood and it happened when I was in high school. It was raining so hard in the night but fortunately, it stopped in the morning.

So we woke up early in the morning, do our usual errands and commute our way to school. But we have a problem. The rain have flooded and blocked the streets. We were so worried that we were the only one who couldn’t make it to school. We had no choice but to call our school and inform them about our situation. And we were surprised with their answer. It turns out that only few students made it to school because of the flood. So they’ve decided to cancel the class that day even though the weather isn’t that bad at all. We were so relieve. The great thing was, we didn’t have to walk our way home.

This is a good place to share our experience in commute. How long is your school from your house?

once me and my classmates had to go to school with our slippers because of the flood. There’s even a banka or boat that we used. But that was in the province.

Does it also happen now? The road became a river?

I couldn’t imagine a road that became a river because of the flood. Your drainage system is really busted

Good thing I was living in the city. In the provinces, situations are worst

Or school wasn’t flooded. What’s flooded is the road to our school

On rare occasions and in places that are near the river banks.
