Caught In The Act

This is another story about my commuting experience.

The man who sat beside me in the jeep was caught in the act. I caught him sneaking on my bag! It was already dark and I am on my way to visit a friend. It was a rainy night.

The man wore a black jacket with a backpack. The jeep was not very packed but he still sat right next to me. I was wearing my cap, covering my eyes allowing me to only look down.

As I looked around, I saw his hand under his jacket trying to reach out for my bag. I hugged my bag to show him that he was already caught in the act. But, he still wanted to do it. I don’t know why he is after my bag.
What I did was I placed my bag inside a paperbag.

In that way, he will never find a way to get it. This happened so quick that he forgot to pay for his fare and left. Damn, if I was not a good observer maybe my bag was ripped off by that stupid moron. – Pweng Bee

They usually use a travelling bag or a backpack, so that you cannot see their hands creeping for you wallet or cellphone. Anyway, always be alert to people near you when riding.

It’s really dangerous nowadays. We should always be alert and conscious about the people around us when riding or travelling. But most of all, we should always pray before leaving the house so that nothing wrong will happen.

Oh yes…. Prayer is the most powerful weapon we can hold at. Thanks Chelle for reminding!

poverty is the main cause why these people commit such things… geezzz.

What Can You Do?
Purse snatching is a crime that can be easily prevented when you take away the opportunity from the thief. Most purse snatchers are juveniles under the age of 18, who are waiting for the next opportunity. When you hide the “prize” you protect yourself!
