PATH service restored after yesterday’s fire
NEW YORK (AP) - Officials say PATH trains are running again between 33rd Street and the Journal Square and Hoboken stations after a manhole fire shut down service for much of the last day.
Service was suspended in both directions around noon Wednesday because of signal and power cable damage from the small fire, which was east of the Christopher Street station. No injuries were reported.
PATH stations at 33rd, 23rd, 14th, Ninth and Christopher streets were closed.
NJ Transit was cross-honoring PATH tickets at Penn Station in New York and Penn Station Newark.

Your headline made me think it was something far worse than a manhole fire. Glad everyone was okay.

I hope that will not happen again.

Good thing everyone was ok. I remember when we had to go down from a train because the train’s brake in malfunctioning.
